In July 1998 I made an investment of $2,000.00 in Caporali Production. Joseph Caporali had promised me that he would turn my $2,000.00 investment into a minimum of $10,000.00 within two years. SEE SIGNED DOCUMENT OF INVESTMENT CONTRACT

Joseph Caporali claims to be an actor and maybe he is. However, on the IMDb website his name does not show up for any movies.

In the year 2000 (two years after my investment) I asked for my investment money back. At that time no projects had been completed and I had not received a dime. Joseph Caporali told me he didn't have the money to give back to me and asked me to be patient, that he was still working on projects and he was still going to make me a rich woman.

Over the next couple of years I was patient; keeping in touch with Joseph Caporali regularly. Then in 2002 Joseph Caporali up and dissappeared. As an investor I would have expected him to keep me in touch about his whereabouts and the status of his company. For years I heard nothing from him. However, while working for an attorney service company here in Bakesfield I came across some information that Joseph Caporali was being sued in Los Angeles County. After a little research I found a number for Joseph Caporali and I tried calling; but to no avail.

Now we skip to the present day:

A couple of months ago it was announced that Joseph Caporali was running for Mayor of Bakersfield. When I saw the news stating such I was shocked. I had no idea he had come back to live in Bakersfield. The day after the news release I did some research and I found out some very surprising things. I also called Joseph Caporali at his Talent Agency and told him I still wanted my money back and the promised minimum investment return. At first Joseph told me he would need 30 days to get my money; but to put together an agreement and bring it to him on Monday, March 3rd. I put together an agreement and went to his office. Joseph Caporali read the agreement and agreed to the terms but said that instead of 30 days, he would need three months. So I went home, edited the agreement and went back to his office the next day. Joseph Caporali would not sign the agreement stating that his attorney, David Torres, needed to review it first. He did sign down at the bottom as "received" and told me he would have the signed copy to me within just a couple of days. On Thursday, March 6th, I called Joseph Caporali and I was told that the document was at David Torres' office and had not been returned to him yet, but to give him a couple more days - this went on for the next couple of weeks. Since Joseph Caporali was obviously avoiding me again; On March 21st I sent Joseph Caporali a 10 Day Demand Letter - SEE LETTER

A phone call was made to the office of David Torres to request when the agreement would be approved and returned to Joseph Caporali. I was told that David Torres does not handle business issues, that David Torres is a Criminal Defence Lawyer. The assistant to David Torres would not confirm that Joseph Caporali was even a client of the firm.

I want to file a lawsuit against Caporali Productions and Joseph Caporali in the amount of $6,250,000.00 but unfortunately, as per an attorney I spoke with, the statute of limitations have expired and I can no longer file a lawsuit.

My justification on this amount is that Joseph Caporali promised me $10,000.00 in two years for my $2,000.00 investment - that is a return of 500%. Now if you take that $10,000.00 and add another 500% over two years that equals $50,000.00; then 500% again for another two years equals $250,000.00; and again another 500% for two more years equals $1,250,000.00; and finially, since Joseph Caporali has had my money for 10 years now, add another 500% for a total of $6,250,000.00.
